Vermouth Domenico Ulrich: 4 Cocktails for your Summer

    •    Stories    •    No comments

As the sun warms the air and the days grow longer, it’s time to embrace the joys of summer with Vermouth—a classic companion to convivial moments since the 1700s.

This aromatized wine with a rich history is enjoying a modern revival, and at Marolo, we’ve always believed in its timeless appeal. The legacy of Domenico Ulrich, the famed pharmacist who founded one of the most celebrated distilleries in the Kingdom of Italy in 19th-century Piedmont, lives on in the Domenico Ulrich Vermouth line.

Four labels crafted from the original 1854 recipes bring history back into focus, filling tumblers and glasses with their versatility and charm – whether sipped neat or mixed into cocktails.

  • Vermouth Rosso Domenico Ulrich: Classic, foundational, and the quintessential aperitif.
  • Umberto Vermouth Rosso Superiore Domenico Ulrich: Full-bodied, meditative, and vibrant, aged in wood for six months to enhance its tinctures.
  • Vermouth Bianco Domenico Ulrich: Refreshing and light, reminiscent of the favorite drink of Piedmontese “madamine.”
  • Vermouth Extra Dry Domenico Ulrich: Sharp and iconic, ideal for dry and crisp cocktails.

All excellent for pairing (What pairs well with Vermouth?), and all perfect ingredients for mixology.
